We have been fortunate enough to secure the project to convert the Former Royal Eye Infirmary into 12 Luxury Apartments. Work started in mid February on the Grade II listed building and is expected to last for 12 months. Restoration works will also take place to reinstate original features such as fire places and window frames, not only will this fall in line with the Listed regulations it will add character to the finished building. This project began in 2016, where demolition of the former Frank Cowl Nursing Home began. The foundations and drainage for the new dwellings started in the summer, and the timber frame houses were erected shortly after. The build consists of 5 houses and 6 flats, 2 of which are fully adapted and accessible for disabled persons. We are pleased to finished this project with praise from the Local Building Authority and the Housing Association DCH. We now hope to obtain recognition in the local awards.

Oakley Builders & Groundwork Contractor Ltd has been working with Aster Group to develop 20 new affordable homes in Estover, Plymouth. The development consists of a mixture of 2 & 3 bedroom dwellings with eco-friendly elements.
The 20 homes are eco-friendly and have renewable energies; we have incorporated high rated insulation materials in the wall cavity and lining of external walls, 14 of the homes on Dover Road have been fitted with Solar Panels.
Oakley Builders aim was to provide affordable, eco-friendly homes for the local community; we have been able to achieve this with the help of the architect AJM Build & Design Ltd, Aster Group & our strong and reliable workforce.
